Adding items to the Cart

The items offered in the Old Võrumaa e-shop are not mass-made goods, every item is a unique craft of the artisan. When you have found something you would like to buy, you add it to your cart by selecting the number of items and clicking on the “add to cart” button. You can check the contents of your cart by looking at the left side of the page.

Until the purchase is finalised, the items will be available to other customers. When you are committed to the purchase, you must confirm your order by clicking on the “Confirm order” button.

From there you will be taken to the page where you fill in necessary details and choose a method of delivery. Please fill in all the required fields. If the buyer is a business, please provide the appropriate business details on the form.

Special Orders!

If you find something you would like to buy, but the item has next to it “By Order”, that means you need to negotiate directly with the artisan, whose contact details you will find with the item of interest. Purchase of the goods can be made via bank transfer to the Võru Institute in SEB bank. The order is confirmed when the transfer has been received. If payment is not received within 3 days, the order will be cancelled.

Purchases of items made via special orders need to be negotiated with the artisans, as the price will depend on the specific wishes of the customer.

With or without VAT

All of the goods for sale include VAT according to Estonian law.

Rights of the Seller

The seller has the right to cancel the order in the case that the item has already been sold via another channel. In such a case the customer will be notified as soon as possible by email or telephone call. The purchase price will be paid back within 15 days.


Generally the order is filled within 3-7 days. When the payment has been received, the ordered goods will be sent to the address given in the manner chosen. There are three possibilities for delivery:

Within Estonia via the package machines of “Itella” or “Omniva”, shipping charge 3 euros. The package will be sent to the package machine location chosen in the order. Itella package machine locations can be found here, Omniva machines here. An SMS or email message with the door code will be sent when the package can be retreived.

At the office of Võru Instituut, no charge.

If for some reason there is a delay in filling the order, we will notify you. If you selected the option to pick up the purchase at Võru Institute, then we will get in contact with you and agree on a suitable time. When picking up the order on site, you can check it to be certain that the order meets your expectations and needs.

Changing or Withdrawing your Order, Quality

If you have submitted an order, but would like to change it or withdraw it, please send an email to . Be sure to include your order number.

Return Policy

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for a refund within 15 days of receiving it. Send an email to the address and include your bank account details (name and account number). The item must be returned to the seller unused, shipping costs are paid by the sender. The purchase price (except return shipping) will be returned as soon as possible, but in not more than 15 days.
If the item you received is not of desired quality, please inform us immediately at the email address: or by telephone: +372 5661 1924 (Külli Eichenbaum) or +372 554 1999 (Vilve Oja). We will arrange for the goods to be improved, replaced or refunded in the amount paid as well as the return shipping costs.


Buying from our e-shop is safe, your private information will not be shared, the data is used only to fill the order and for solving any order-related issues.
